For twins Jollibee and McDonald, their fast food-inspired names helped make life easier for them. They said they've never been bullied because of their names. Their unique names even helped them gain more friends, they added. And should they have their own children, the siblings said they would also give them unique names. No surprises there as Filipinos have a penchant for unique names. Which is why we may know of someone named after a doorbell sound or that of a royal. Or may be someone whose name is a mash-up of their parents' names, and even a nod to pop culture, fruits or superheroes. And for some parents, the coronavirus has not stopped them to name their kids after the pandemic.
