President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Mocha Uson as the deputy administrator of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). The former communications assistant secretary is tasked to look after the welfare of millions of overseas Filipino workers, four months after her party-list group failed to win a seat in Congress in the recent midterm elections. Uson's appointment is without controversy with some citing a provision in the Constitution barring the appointment of candidate who lost in an election one year after such election to any office in the government. The Commission on Election, however, clarifies that the provision does not apply to the nominees of losing party-list groups – which allows Uson to assume her new role.
Q1. Do you agree with Mocha Uson's appointment to the OWWA?
I have another opinion
